Congress to Conduct Sonia Gandhi's Birthday on Grand Scale on December 9
Sonia birthday on a grand scale planned
Hyderabad: TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud has informed that the Telangana Congress has decided to celebrate Sonia Gandhi's birthday in a grand manner across the State on December 9, referring to her as the "creator of Telangana" and the State's most beloved leader.
He stated that Telangana State cannot be imagined without the support of Sonia Gandhi and she will forever remain in history.
Speaking at a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan here on Friday, Mahesh Kumar Goud highlighted the Congress government’s success in creating over 55,000 jobs within a year, a feat the BRS government failed to achieve in a decade.
He criticised the inefficiency of the previous BRS government, claiming that Congress delivered more development in one year than BRS did in ten years.
Accusing BRS working president KT Rama Rao of arrogance despite losing power and called out his impractical ambitions, Mahesh Kumar Goud questioned the sacrifices made by KTR and Kavitha for Telangana, saying they had no moral right to speak against late Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi.
He alleged that former chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao family has amassed immense wealth, labeling them the "most corrupt family in the country."
Mahesh Kumar Goud claimed that freedom in Telangana has been curtailed under BRS, but will flourish under the Congress. He emphasised Congress's respect for Telangana’s cultural heritage, as reflected in their Telangana Talli statue initiative.
The TPCC president also ridiculed Telangana BJP president and Union Minister Kishan Reddy by calling him "Kismath Reddy," asserting that the BJP has no right to speak about the poor.
He condemned the inappropriate language used by BRS MLA Kaushik Reddy and warned against attempts to disturb law and order.
"The Telangana people have rejected BRS's decade-long autocratic rule and entrusted Congress to restore democracy, development and dignity in the State," Kumar Goud asserted.
